Ketan Camping – Bhandardara Homestay began as a small family initiative to share the untouched beauty of the Sahyadris with fellow travellers. What started as a handful of tents beside the Pravara River has grown into a beloved homestay that welcomes thousands of guests every year.
We believe travel should slow you down, not rush you through. Every corner of our property — from the campfire circle to the lake-facing rooms — is built to help you breathe easier, sleep better, and reconnect with what truly matters.
To create sustainable, unforgettable nature experiences that support local communities, protect the Sahyadri ecosystem, and give every guest a genuine home away from home in the mountains.
Waterfalls that thunder through monsoon mist, lakes that mirror the sunrise, forest trails alive with birdsong — Bhandardara is one of Maharashtra's last truly wild escapes, and we're proud to be your gateway to it.
"Bhandardara has been my home since childhood — its waterfalls, the Pravara river, the quiet of the forest at dusk. When we started Ketan Camping, our only goal was simple: to let every visitor feel the same peace this land has always given me. Whether you're here for a weekend escape, a family reunion or a solo trek up Kalsubai, our doors — and our campfire — are always open for you."
Ketan Camping began with just 4 tents and a handful of curious trekkers seeking a quiet weekend in Bhandardara.
To welcome families and elderly guests, we built our first cosy homestay rooms alongside the campsite.
Word of mouth turned Ketan Camping into a favourite weekend getaway for travellers from Mumbai and Pune.
We expanded with lake-view stays, guided treks, boating and curated corporate & school trip packages.
Today, Ketan Camping is one of Bhandardara's most loved homestays — still family-run, still deeply rooted in nature.
